A bell rings in a room with a zap waking half of the occupants. And the other half goes back to sleep. Only one is attentive with his feet stable on the ground, with a leather bag on his side. “Mr Rogers” a young petite blond woman ambles from her cubicle and calls a name.

The man gets up while picking up his bag of hundred stitches with no response. He peeks through his thick round glasses and nods at the young lady.

PA: Our Guru will receive you now..

She turns around, walks towards an entrance and swipes a keycard.

PA: This should be the way.

It opens to a passage covered with glass panes. Bright light cut through the glass pouring in the vistas of the outside

PA: Isn’t it a wonderful weather today. It rained yesterday. That too in Cali.

Rogers: Oh…. yeah. A great weather… today. Great weather for kil…. Kissing the ground.

PA: Kissing the ground, what a strange expression. Well whatever, you are happy. That is what matters.

She hums while they taking right turn from the path.

PA: I noticed something. You are wearing a white coat. Are you by any chance a doc…

Rogers: Yeah, I am.. Just came back from…. important procedure. Even have tools with me.

The tools jangle in the bag.

PA: Ah, is that where the sound is coming from? I thought you had some keys with you. You save the person’s life?

Rogers: Ah, no. Unfortunately, he survived.

PA: Wait what? (She laughs) You misspoke. You are a funny man. Guruji will like you.

Rogers:…. Yeah

PA: Alright here we are. Go in, sir.

Rogers nods and walks in.

Guru: Come in my son. What did you mother name you?

Rogers: It was my father who named me, Simon Rogers.

Guru: Great, Simon. Come on, take a seat.

Rogers: Thank you.

Guru: So what is your problem, my son?

Rogers: Well.. It is with woo… mm..

Guru: Speak louder!

Rogers: It is with women.

Guru: Achha, women problem. She break your heart, you broke hers. To me, you seem like a heartbreaker.

Rogers: I am anxious around women. I want to do things to them. But I can’t find my courage.

Guru: Ohh, so you are anxious around women. No, no, that is not good. You need the “Life Rath Program”.

Rogers: Yes, I would like that. Thank you.

Guru: Why are you feeling anxious? A lot of people come to me with the same problem. You should not. Everything you are feeling is already natural. When an apple falls from a tree, does it feel anxious or regret? When lion hunts deer, does it? No it does not.

Rogers: No they don’t. But what I want to do is not appropriate? Le…

Guru: Not appropriate!? Teri maa ki. Do you think everything is appropriate? Tell me..

Rogers: Hmmm. What? Uhh noooo.

Guru: No. Me talking to you like this is not appropriate.

Rogers: So what should I do, guru?

Guru: Finally listening? Good boy. Say this with me. “Anything I think of is good for me.”

Rogers: Anything I think of is good for me.

Guru: Nobody can stop me.

Rogers: Nobody can stop me.

Guru: So how are you feeling now?

Rogers: A bit better. But still my company, my work, they would not like this.

Guru: Arre baba, Finally, is it an HR issue? You have someone in your cross-hairs. Now you want to approach her. Is she a fellow colleague?

Rogers: No..

Guru: Listen, you are too difficult. I need to come up with the big guns. Look at my wall. Two medals of wisdom. This is me in the Indian ashram, 1986 meditating. Has all the vintage look right. I had such big following in India. This is where I got my name, Guru Buddhu, Buddhu the enlightened. You know what everybody was thinking of me.

Rogers: What?

Guru: Stay in India. Have a good life. No!! I did not want that. I said I am going to California. In India, everyone is spiritual. But in US, nobody. Everyone money. What about spirituality? Then I chose to leave the comfortable life for what I wanted to do. What about you?

Rogers: I want to do what I really desire. That is why I am here.

Guru: Then what is stopping you right now.

Rogers: I don’t know.

Guru: You. you are the only one in your way.

Rogers: Yes, I am in my own way.

Guru: Then you must do what you want to do.

Rogers: Really?

Guru: Yes

Rogers: Okay.

Guru: Haha, finally. You were a tough nut to crack.

Rogers: I feel so alive now. I will do it to the very person I see.

Guru: Great energy. They did not call me Buddhu or Anpad for no reason.

Rogers: Great, what must I pay for this?

Guru: Okay, 500 dollars for the life rath program, 100 dollars extra for the backstory. You were a tough nut. Because of you, I will give you 50 dollar discount.

Rogers: Here you go.

Guru: Look at you. You have completely changed. Now you go approach that lady and start playing games with her. (laughing maniacally)

Rogers: Yeah, play games with her, seduce her and skin her alive.

All life in the room dies down.

Guru: ….. what the hell, bruh?

After half an hour, a phone rings to an operator.

(911 what is your emergency?)

PA: (sobs)Guru Buddhu has disappeared.
