Note: Second in the Autumn series. Winter is definitely coming.
"Hopes are up,
For what reason,
Stocks are up,
For no reason."
Screamed I,
In front of a dear
friend,
His tongue propels,
with a unique red,
"Hope's the one thing,
that turns the world around."
"Fools are never
in short supply,
If you make less,
they learn to sprout,
Days getting worse with each season,
Hope for what reason?"
"Death and disease less
Every year,
If you take a random year,
In history,
Death and disease,
On everybody’s rear."
"True, I agree in history,
Death and disease,
Famous taste in town,
Even then,
Future's our concern,
Hope for what reason?"
"Hope's the one way,
Gives a jolt,
To begin the day,
Happy and bold."
"If hope is so
Quintessential,
I deny it to its
Fundamentals.
McDonalds sells hope,
like its hamburgers,
How take it serious,
If hope's so cheap.
Fools sprout every season,
Hope for what reason?"
"True, true,
Starbucks tactic sale,
Hope's so stale,
But,
Don't deny,
That keeps the struggling,
From losing into despair."
"Exactly!
Hands held
To pray for fortune,
Useless hands held
While the ship is sinking."
"Useless as it seems,
In your eyes,
Don't deny,
the glimmer of hope,
when the life says nope."
"I... relent,
Yes, hope perhaps a lynchpin,
For lost existences,
But for me,
For me,
Hope's not my jam.
If it could be siphoned,
take all hopes and sparkles,
And give to those,
who need it the most.
Courage without hope,
Is the only one I know.
Million nameless,
Suffer and perspire,
For those wretched,
Hope doesn’t transpire.
I’d rather take courage,
than thin-skinned,
Finicky,
Hope."
Who said defeat,
My friend repeats,
"But,
But,
But."
